BEARDED VULTURE CONSERVATION TOUR

Join Iolo on this exclusive wildlife conservation tour to Spain where you will have special access to the Bearded Vulture Conservation Project in the Pyrenees including visiting the hacking site, where the chicks are released back into the wild.

Experience the whole birdlife and landscape diversity of North-eastern Spain on this trip that takes you to the high summits of the Pyrenees to enjoy the flight of the Bearded Vulture and share its conservation efforts with the local NGO Fundación para la Conservación del Quebrantahuesos.

Later you will travel across the steppes to search for bustards in the Monegros desert as you follow the Ebro Valley towards the Mediterranean. Your trip ends in the Ebro Delta marshlands where you can enjoy the unique variety of species that gather in the rice fields and marshlands of this Natural Park.

Bird species that can be found in Aínsa and high Pyrenees include Lammergeier, Egyptian Vulture, Griffon Vulture, Golden Eagle, Booted Eagle, Short-toed Eagle, Red Kite, Black Kite, Goshawk, Peregrine Falcon, European Nightjar, Black Woodpecker, Alpine Swift, Crag Martin, Woodlark, Water Pipit, Alpine Accentor, Dipper, Ring Ouzel, Rock Thrush, Firecrest, Crested Tit, Marsh Tit, Red-backed Shrike, Alpine Chough, Red-billed Chough, Citril Finch, Crossbill, Rock Bunting, Ortolan Bunting and Cirl Bunting.
