Okavango Delta

The Okavango Delta (or Okavango Swamp) is the world’s largest inland delta. It provides what is perhaps the most exclusive and private wilderness safari experience in the world. The delta is very flat, formed where the Okavango River flows into the vast Kalahari Desert. This is the permanent and seasonal home to a wide variety of wildlife such as African Bush Elephant, African Buffalo, Hippopotamus, Lechwe, Topi, Blue Wildebeest, Giraffe, Nile crocodile, Lion, Cheetah, Leopard, Brown Hyena, Spotted Hyena, Greater Kudu, Sable Antelope, Black Rhinoceros, White Rhinoceros, Plains Zebra, Warthog, Chacma Baboon and the endangered African Wild Dog. The delta also includes over 400 species of birds.

Chobe National Park

The first National Park declared in Botswana in 1967. It was named after the Chobe River which creates the northern border of the park. It’s famous or its giant elephant and Cape buffalo herds and is the most southern place where the Puku can be found. In 2009 an official censor counted 120,000 animals. The area of Chobe National Park near Kasane is famous for its concentration of animals around the Chobe River front.

Victoria Falls

One of the most spectacular natural sights in Africa, perhaps the world, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1989. It is located on the Zambezi River on the borders of Zimbabwe and Zambia and close to the border of Botswana. It is not just the falls though that are special. They are located in Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park, an area of beautiful and lush rainforest which has been a protected conservation area since 1934. The park has a well developed infrastructure and many large animals and provides you with wonderful and peaceful surroundings to walk through as you view the falls.
